Clit Outside Or Inside

Boy George & Culture Club: The Best of the 80´s

The eighties were the years of excess, image by image, to find new ways to impact on means of communication in masas.Deveo, Duran Duran, Prince and Madonna used the video as his personal seal, creating an expectation surrounding the launch of the video itself, along with the song that moved him. The appearance of Boy George, transvestite, was an icon for a time. With well as direct representation, Culture Club, had the doors open to do whatever I wanted with an audience that was ready for impact. But against an offending image, there was a pop music, romantic and soft, he had no further intentions. George O'Dowd began performing in clubs and became a kind of reference point because it imposed a romantic tendency, like the happy endings of teen movies of the time. These presentations provided a presentation with Malcolm McLaren which then would lead the group "In Praise Of Lemmings" which took a life. No However, this allowed contact with the exbajista and Disc Jockey, Mikey Craig and it was Clash drummer, Jon Moss, with whom he developed his musical style based on what softer rithm & blues. The training was completed with guitarist Roy Hay and then left Culture Club.
Although success was not instantaneous, survived as well as to release "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me," which reached number one in England and second box in the U.S. in 1982. The debut album "Kissing To Be Clever" allowed "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" and "Time" also became hits and were awakened a fascination with the appearance of George United States. In this fertile ground fell the second album "Colour By Numbers" in 1983 which left the world number one "Karma Chameleon", along with the hits "It'sa Miracle" and "Miss Me Blind." The success led to George's voice and image were in force throughout most of 1984. However, the fact that George tried heroin and then ended his relationship with Moss led a drive that failed before going: "Waking Up With The House On Fire" that ended with the group's popularity was quite high, Although "The War Song" that was accepted within the whole. This caused the split in 1987 after "From Luxury to Heartache". Boy George was put in prison for his drug dependency, which finished liquidating its potential as a soloist, while the other members did not have a different fate. However management was a legacy of images, themes that still danced with nostalgia and the success achieved in two years by an unusual band.
